Last weekend’s defeat to Bolton Wanderers left the Shrimps fourth, four points adrift of third spot and five behind second-placed Cambridge, who could secure promotion tonight.
Adams and his players head to Walsall tomorrow knowing victory would guarantee a play-off spot and, depending on results elsewhere, could take the automatic promotion battle down to the final day.

Adams said: “If you’d said, with two games to go, there was a possibility of being in the position we’re in, we’d have said, ‘Thank you very much’.
“The players have to take a huge amount of credit for that and we have two big games left to go now.
"We had a good victory the last time we went to Walsall and we drew with them earlier this season.

“We have just got to go and try to win the match and see where it takes us, though we still have the chance of setting the club’s EFL points record if we do win.”
The Shrimps will be without Kelvin Mellor, who has picked up a three-match suspension for his red card against Bolton.
Liam Gibson will be assessed after sustaining a hamstring injury in the same game but Aaron Wildig is available after a knock to the jaw, also against Bolton.
