National Green Party leader Jonathan Bartley visits Lancaster and Morecambe
Jonathan Bartley, who was elected as the Green Party’s new leader alongside Caroline Lucas MP in September, is visiting all the regions.
Last week he met wth the Lancashire Nanas against in Fracking at their protest outside Buckingham Palace.

Hide AdJonathan said: “The lack of respect for local democracy in the Secretary of State’s decision, his disregard for local people’s’ wishes and and that of Lancashire County Councillors who rejected the applications to frack last year is appalling.
“It is also outrageous that costs of a third of a million pounds have been awarded against the County Council which is already under severe budgetary pressure, as a result of its efforts in this democratic process.
“If they really believe in representing their communities Conservative MPs across Lancashire should oppose what their Government is doing and join the other parties in making the case to Government that Lancashire does not deserve to be penalised in this way.”
Jonathan will also go to Morecambe to meet Richard Moriarty, the Green party candidate in the Westgate by-election in Morecambe, which takes place on Thursday.
